How can something as deadly and difficult-to-treat as cancer be caused by a simple vitamin deficiency? It might seem odd, but the answer could be pistachios.
The nuts are naturally rich in vitamin B17, which helps the body to produce something known as an amino acid called L-Amino acid, also known as Laetrile or Amygdalin.
And this substance has been shown to kill cancer cells while leaving healthy cells unharmed, according to researchers at Cambridge University’s department of medicine and Institute of Cancer Research in London.

There is no question that cancer is one of the most terrifying diseases in the world. With more than 11 million deaths globally each year (1.6 million of which are cancer-related).
However, according to the researchers at Cambridge University, this dreadful illness may not actually be a disease after all. Rather, it may be something much simpler – a vitamin deficiency.
This study was conducted on mice and found that those with tumors fed with high doses of vitamins had up to 100% survival rates as compared to untreated mice who died within 10 days.
This research has led to further investigations into the possible connection between a lack of vitamin D and various cancers including prostate, breast, ovarian and skin cancers.
It is important to note that while the research so far has been promising, this does not mean it will lead to an immediate change in how we treat cancer patients
How can you boost your daily intake of vitamins?
You may not have heard of vitamin B17 before. The name comes from the 17th letter in the alphabet (beta-glucosidase). Vitamin B17 is also known as amygdalin and is found in certain foods such as apricot kernels, almonds, apples, apricots and peaches.
It’s been used for centuries to combat various diseases including cancer. You can also boost your daily intake of vitamins by eating pistachios every day since they are high in protein and contain pistachio oil which has high amounts of vitamin b17.

Research proves it can be done
Cambridge University has recently concluded that cancer is not a disease, but rather the body’s response to vitamin deficiencies. Although many people have long-believed this to be true–including actress Suzanne Somers who has famously attributed her recovery from stage 4 breast cancer to eating large amounts of almonds and pistachios–it is now confirmed by science.
Studies conducted by Cambridge University found that some type of vitamin B17 deficiency can lead to cell division, which can cause certain types of cancer.
